What APEX found
- It states something as fact that APEX could not confirm from the material provided. The letter assigns names, a report type, a deadline day, a technical cause, and a spotless prior record that the supplied information never establishes.
- It claims more, or more forcefully, than the evidence supports. It guarantees delivery by a specific day and commits the company to a financial remedy without evidence that either commitment can be honored.
- It does not suit the job it is meant to do. Saying this client matters more than every other client is likely to sound manipulative and undermine the effort to preserve the account.
The draft was withheld. Nothing went out.

For the writing you cannot afford to get wrong
A model gives you fluency without grounding: the sentences come out equally well-formed whether or not anything supports them, and you cannot tell the difference by reading it. APEX stands between your text and the world, and refuses to let it out until it has been attacked from every side and held. It is built for the letter to a regulator, the note to a client after a mistake, the board memo recommending a delay, the statement that will be read by people who are not on your side.
Write it with APEX
Ask for what you need. Three independent drafts are written, compared blind, rebuilt into a stronger version, then judged and challenged until nothing material is left standing against it.
Or bring your own
Send text you have already written and ask APEX to check it exactly as it stands. It is certified word for word, or refused with the reasons — the findings are the result.
How a run works
- Your request is recorded as a case — purpose, audience, setting, constraints, material and length limit — and sealed with a hash.
- Three drafts are written separately, each with a different strategy: faithful, reasoned and adversarial. A draft you supply joins them.
- Two examiners compare the drafts blind, under random labels and in opposite orders. If they contradict each other, a further examiner must settle it, or that attempt releases nothing.
- A new version is built from the strongest elements. It inherits no approval from the drafts.
- A defect judge examines it on the dimensions your request calls for — fidelity, logic, precision, factual support, fit to purpose — while a challenger tries to write something stronger.
- A final arbitration compares the version with the challenger and with every draft, and may raise defects of its own. Only then can the text be released.
The decision to release is made by fixed rules in code, applied to the recorded verdicts — not by a model deciding it is satisfied.
What a certification means
ENTRUST_CEILING means that, for the case as recorded and the material supplied: the text is the piece that was asked for; no material defect or unresolved material uncertainty survived; no alternative APEX tested was materially stronger without a meaningful tradeoff; every required comparison was completed; and any character limit was met.
It is a bounded certification, not a guarantee that no better text could exist. APEX judges against the material it is given; it does not independently verify facts in the outside world.
The receipt, and why it travels
Every certified result carries a receipt signed with Ed25519. It binds the fingerprint of the exact text, the case, the model and service tier, the list of model calls made, and the version of APEX's governing rules. A copy is published under its Run ID, and anyone who receives your text can confirm at entrustai.co/verify that the receipt is genuine and unaltered.
The receipt holds fingerprints of your text, never the text itself. Your words stay yours.
